Honest Weather Ireland tells you what the sky is up to over Ireland, and tells you straight. No weather-speak, no waffle. Just whether you need the jacket, the brolly, or the sunglasses you bought in 2019 and never wore.
What is it?
A small, friendly weather site for the whole island. Pick your town or let the site find you, and you get the weather now, the next few hours, tomorrow and the days after, with a line or two in plain Irish-style English. Some of the lines are daft. We are not sorry.
Where does the weather come from?
The numbers come from OpenWeatherMap. We do not make the weather. We only report it, and we take no blame when it changes its mind at four o’clock.
Is it always right?
No. Forecasts are best guesses, and Irish skies love proving us wrong. If it matters (a boat, a ladder, a wedding, a hay day) check the official warnings from Met Éireann (Republic of Ireland) or the Met Office (Northern Ireland) too.
Who is behind it?
A small team that likes weather and tea, and would like to stay out of the photos. Questions, ideas or a missing town? Use the contact page and say hello.
